Abstract

Volcanic activity is one of the Earth's most powerful and
sometimes destructive natural phenomena, capable of posing
serious threats to human lives, the environment, and
infrastructure. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to
understand the hazards and consequences of volcanic eruptions,
and to raise awareness about the threats and dangers they pose
to people, ecosystems, and infrastructure. By examining both
the direct and indirect impacts of volcanoes, this article aims to
present methods for risk assessment and crisis management in
order to prevent human and financial losses and to enhance
preparedness and timely response to such natural disasters.
Another goal is to help develop preventive strategies, protect
vulnerable areas, and promote scientific knowledge in this field .
The research method used in this article is a review approach,
where information was collected from reliable sources and
analyzed descriptively. The findings of this article show that
volcanic eruptions lead to the destruction of settlements, air and
water pollution, loss of agricultural resources, and even human
fatalities. However, volcanic soil is extremely fertile and plays an
important role in agriculture in surrounding areas.
